Will a Customer receive a Refund if they are removed from an Event?

  • If a Customer is removed from an Event or cancels their participation in an Event, there is no need to Refund the Customer because the PodPlay system only charges the Customer after the Event ends.

    • When a Customer signs up for an Event, PodPlay places a hold on the Customer’s credit card (cc). This hold verifies the Customer has sufficient funds on the cc connected to the Customer’s Account.

    • The Customer will see this hold in the Purchase History of their Account tab in the App, and the Customer will also see this hold on their cc.

      • Even though these charges are visible, the Customer has been charged for the Event yet.

  • When investigating further on the Admin Dashboard by clicking into the Event, it clearly shows on the Purchase tab of the Event that a payment is Settling in X days. This means the payment will be finalized after the Event is over.

    • An Admin can also navigate directly to the Customer’s Account and see the same Settling in X days message.
