What is a Series? How is it different from a Copy?

  • What is a Series?

    • A Series is an Event that lasts longer than one day. This means when a Customer signs up for a Series, they are signing up for ALL Events in the Series, Events that span multiple days. A Customer who signs up for a Series is paying for all of the Events up front.

  • What is the difference between a copied Event and a Series?

    • An Event that is Copied is a Single Event that has been replicated. Customers sign up for each single Event separately. When they sign up for a Series, they sign up for ALL Events in the Series.

  • What would or should I use a Series for?

    • A Club can use a Series, linked Events, when you want Customers to sign up for all Events at once and take payment for the entire Series in advance. You can use a series for a League. You can also use a Series for a Class that is longer than one session.

  • How do I create a Series?

    • To create a Series, an Admin can

      • Create Event

      • Click on Create a Series at the top right of the side panel

      • Fill out the Event details

      • Click the blue Book as Draft or Book & Publish button at the bottom right of the side panel

      • Notice a new side panel pops up

      • Click + Sessions at the top right of this new side panel

      • Click + Sessions on the new pop-up window

      • Add as many additional Events to the Series as desired

      • Click Save

      • Notice the additional Events are added

        • If they are not Published, it means there’s a Reservation or Event on that day, time, and court in the future

      • Set the price of the Series

      • Click Save

        • Notice the Series has a unique triple square icon in the dashboard All Areas Overview
