What is Stripe and how does it work?

Stripe is the charging system for PodPlay. As a PodPlay client, you set up a Stripe Express account when your PodPlay Customer Success Manager (CSM) sends you a sign-up link. This is a required step before your Production Environment is live for the public.

Stripe processes every Customer transaction and PodPlay will bundle these transactions where possible.

All Customer funds captured by Stripe will be moved into the Club’s Stripe Express account through the same process:

• Stripe places a hold on the Customer's card to ensure they have the necessary funds

  • At times, there is no hold, like in the case of a Membership

• Stripe captures the Customer's funds

• Stripe moves the funds minus the Stripe fee to Club’s Stripe Express account

• Stripe initiates payout to Club’s bank account

  • There is a rolling minimum 2-day delay (this is Stripe's policy)

• Club’s bank account receives Customer funds

  • Payouts to your bank are daily, on weekdays, with a rolling minimum 2-day window
