What happens if a Customer’s credit card expires?

  • If a Customers credit card (cc) expires, the system will either:

    1. Stop a customer from signing up during Reservation booking or Event registration, forcing them to re-add their card.

    2. Stripe sometimes updates the expired card, leading to zero issues for the Customer.

      1. This is a rare occurrence, and Stripe acts on their own accord.

  • If a customer signs up for an event >6 days out, there's no hold on the card, and when the hold initiates, if the first point happens, there will be an error the admin sees, plus the customer will be kicked from the event and told their event registration was canceled.
