Does a Coach payout include a Stripe fee?
There are two different ways a Coach can receive a payment.
A Coach receives a payment from the Customer
This payment receipt occurs when a Customer books a Reservation and adds a Coach.
As a Stripe process flow, any money moving into the Coach’s Stripe account goes from Customer → PodPlay → split between Club and Coach.
The Stripe fee here is paid for by the Club
A Coach receives a payment from the Club
This payment receipt occurs when a Coach is added to an Event from the Dashboard.
In this situation, the system does not take into account the revenue generated from the Event.
Meaning, if the Event costs $25 per person and there are 10 Event participants, the Club yields $250. All of this revenue goes to the Club. If the Event costs $0 per person, regardless of how many people attend the Event, the Club yields $0.
While the Club is generating revenue from the Customers (or not), the Coach’s rate could also be anything between $0 and $500, and regardless of how much the Event yields, the Coach will receive their payment. When there is a Clinic Series, a Coach is added to each individual Event. They are paid out per Event, when the Event ends.
As a Stripe process flow, any money moving into the Coach’s Stripe account goes from Club → PodPlay → Coach.
Money moving between Stripe accounts does not incur a Stripe fee.
