Cancellations with Bill Splitting
There are a few things to consider when it comes to cancellations and Bill Splitting
What happens if the Reservation Holder cancels the Reservation?
What happens if an invitee cancels their participation in the Reservation?
For the situation of a Reservation Holder canceling the Reservation:
If a Customer has booked a Reservation and then cancels it, only the Reservation Holder will be charge, should a charge be necessary
To learn more, read Can a Customer cancel their Reservation? and What is a Cancellation Policy?
It doesn’t matter if the Reservation Holder has invited their friends and their friends have accepted the invite or have not accepted the invite
In this way, only the Reservation Holder is responsible for any cancellation fee, giving the other Customers they were going to play with an opportunity to book another court
NOTE: there are times when a Customer will call the Club and ask for an Admin to help cancel the Reservation so there is zero cancellation fee; it is up to the Club whether or not to allow Admin intervention
For the situation of an invitee canceling their participation in the Reservation:
If a Customer has booked a Reservation, invited three of their friends, and one of the friends cancels, this invitee is not charged a cancellation fee, even if it is within the cancellation window
In this way, the Reservation Holder has the opportunity to send out another invitation to another Customer, thereby filling the empty spot in the Reservation
